### Kayak Rentals at Mad Goats

Safety:
- Prior Experience Required: You must have prior kayaking experience and know how to rescue yourself and others. If not, sign up for our 3-hour beginner kayak (våttkort) course.
- Equipment Provided: Includes kayak, spray skirt, paddle, sponge, pump, and life vest.
- Security: Securely strap and lock kayaks after use to prevent them from falling into the water.
- Weather Conditions: Do not paddle if wind speed exceeds 8 m/s. Check weather conditions before departure.

Important Information:
- Certification Recommended: At least one person in the group should have a kayak certification from the Norwegian Paddle Federation (Våttkort).
- Experience Requirement: Ensure you can rescue yourself and others.
- Clothing: Wear a drysuit or wetsuit in April and October. We do not provide drysuits.
- Paddling Alone: Not recommended unless you are experienced and know self-rescue techniques. Consider joining our våttkort kajakkurs to improve your skills.
- Weather Precautions: Stay close to land and paddle in sheltered areas if wind speed exceeds 5 m/s. If the wind speed is above 8 m/s, you can get a voucher to book another day by emailing your booking reference to kontakt@madgoats.no.
- Children: Minimum age is 13 years, and they must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Additional Information:
- Booking Instructions: You will receive instructions and a code for kayak equipment storage via email after booking.
- Facilities: No changing facilities available, but the kayak raft is sheltered.
- Preparation: Wear weather-appropriate clothing and bring water, sunscreen, and sunglasses. Use a dry bag for belongings.
- Cleanliness: Take all rubbish with you after kayaking and do not leave it in the kayak. Empty the kayak of water and sponge out any remaining water after your trip.
